Where To Ride Your UTV In Florida

Apr. 9 2019 Miscellaneous By ___

Your UTV is geared for work, but did you also know it makes an ideal family recreational vehicle? With its bench seating and cargo space, you can easily take the kids on an adventure they won’t soon forget! Florida is rife with great places to ride your UTV, and Polaris of Gainesville has highlighted a few of our favorites below to give you a jumping-off point for your off-roading adventures.

Bandit Mud Racing (New Smyrna Beach, FL)

While you’ll need to call or look online in advance to see when this park is open, it’s worth it if you’re a fan of mudding. This park is open during select weekends to give riders a place to tear up the terrain in their side by sides. Mud pits, clay tracks, drag strips and a motocross-style UTV track will provide you with hours of adrenaline-surging entertainment. Weekend events include mud bog racing for those of you with a competitive spirit.

Apalachicola National Forest (Bristol, FL)

Open year-round, this off-roading area has several trails spanning over 100 miles, so you won’t suffer from a shortage of roads to ride here! Most of them are smooth and dusty, although wet weather conditions may make them muddy.

Springhill and Silver Lake offer the best staging access, although Vinzant and North Oak are perfectly viable in good weather. You’ll need to obtain a trail pass at one of these four staging areas which will give you either three-day or year-round access. A spark arresting silence is also required on all off-highway vehicles.

Camping is not permitted at this location, but it makes for an excellent day trip for the whole family. Bring a picnic to enjoy after a hard ride!

Need some professional maintenance on your side by side before you head out to one of these Florida riding areas? Visit Polaris of Gainesville here in Alachua, serving Gainesville and Lake City, so we can help you out!
